Tagging & Pricing

Tagging Instructions

All sellers tag and price their own items. In order to keep the Wee-One's Consignment Sale organized and easy-to-shop, we require that sellers tag their items in the same format. You may prepare your tags either manually, or by using our NEW Microsoft Excel Tagging System. We highly recommend using the Excel tagging worksheet if possible.

To Prepare Tags using the Excel Tagging System:  Click on the link to download the Tagging System.

The program will automatically create your tags once the information has been entered. At that point, all you need to do is print them out and attach them to your items as indicated below. Easy-peasy!

To Prepare Manual Tags: Please use the following instructions to complete manual tags.

Cards Please use 3 x 5 index cards hung VERTICALLY on items . Using blue or black ink, begin writing about 1/3 of the way down the card. If you do want the item to sell at 1/2 price use red ink to complete the entire card.

Consignor # - 1/3 way down card on the left top of card. Make sure you have your correct # on each card.

Size - 1/3 way down card on the riht top of card. Please use number sizing (18 months, 6-6x, 10-12 NOT S, M, or L except maternity and adult).

Description-Center of card. Give a short description of item on tag incase tag and item become separated. Example: "Blue and white Polo gingham dress" or "Set of 3 Junie B. Jones Paperback Books" instead of "dress" or "book".

Donate Option- If you want to take advantage of our no hassle charity donation option, write "C" (charity) in the bottom left corner.

Price- Bottom right corner of card. Please use whole dollar increments ($1.00 not .50 or .99).

Using 1 inch or larger Safety Pins, adhere the card to the item as shown. DO NOT USE STRAIGHT PINS!  NO ONE LIKES TO GET POKED!!!

Sorting Please have your clothes grouped by size and gender at drop off with the tags facing up. This step will speed your check in time during inspection.

Hanging We can not accept items hung on flimsy plastic hangers. They break causing items to fall on the floor. Broken hangers can not be replaced by Wee-One’s and fallen items will be removed from the sale floor. We recommend coated wire hangers as they are durable and slide easily on the racks.

The hanger hook should face the left (like a question mark) with the tag pinned vertically to right side of garment as you face it.

Sets Pin the waist of the pants, shorts or skirts to the back of the shirt with pin going through the top of the hanger. Items hung from the bottom of the hanger will shift and fall. Please follow the diagram above. Incorrectly hung items will be returned to the consignor to be fixed.

Shoes Must be clean and in excellent condition with shoelaces. Tie pair together with a ribbon and attach the card to the shoes. Do NOT place the shoes inside a shoebox or plastic bag.

Toys, Furniture, and EquipmentMust be clean, have all the parts and be in working order. If batteries are required, please install in the item. Small parts should be in a clear zip bag and attached to the main part with a safety pin, packing tape or ribbon.

Loose Articles Such as bibs, bottles, cloth diapers, small toys, socks, etc. must be in a clear plastic zip bag with the card pinned to the outside of the bag. Please seal top of bag with packing tape.

Hard to Tag Items Punch a hole or cut a slit in the index card and tie with ribbon. Tape ribbon to the item, not the index card. Please use packing tape because scotch tape will not hold and your cards may become lost if not securely attached.

To maintain the high standards we have set and quality of items available for purchase, we will be inspecting each item on drop off. We ask that you only bring items of the quality and condition that you would be willing to purchase yourself. Items that are torn, soiled, outdated or have missing parts will not be accepted.
