Preparation

Quality is the key!

A customer should be able to walk in the first day of the sale or the last day of the sale and still find the same quality items. It is to everyone's benefit that you carefully inspect your items. Clothing and toys that give a nice appearance will mean more money for you.  If your item is not in a condition that  you would buy it for your own child or grandchild, chances are, nobody else will either, which is why we will only accept top quality items. We will inspect all items at drop off. Clothes that have holes, stains or show excessive wear will not be accepted. Wee-One's reserves the right to deny any unacceptable item!

Pricing You set the price on all items, so price to sell!  Due to the many items being sold we recommend that you price competitively. Don't focus on what the item cost NEW.  Price items as if YOU were going to buy them. What would you be willing to pay? It is best to think in the terms of "Would I pay X for this?"  If the answer is "No" then the shopper most likely won't either.  If you are having a hard time judging, general rule is no more than 1/3 of original cost depending on the name brand and condition of item.

Clothing Spending a little "extra" time preparing your items will mean more money for you. Items that are cleaned, ironed, starched and have a fresh scent will sell much better!  Present them at their best for the most $$$ for you!

Pin clothing sets securely together with pants hung on the backside of the shirt and pinned at the waist on the hanger. This way, both pieces can be viewed without unpinning them. Pants hung on a separate hanger tend to come off the hanger and then get separated from the top.

Clothing should be hung with the curve of the hanger facing left, where the hanger looks like a question mark.

Shoes Let's face it- kid's are hard on shoes. Dress shoes are preferred, however high quality tennis shoes in EXCELLENT condition will be accepted.

Tie laces together and simply pin your tag to the laces.  Do not place shoes in zip top bags.

Toys Toys must be like-new, clean, and in working order. If they require batteries to work, they must have batteries in them. It would be very disappointing for someone to buy your toy, only to get it home and find it didn't work properly!

If it is a small toy, place it in zip top bag and affix your tag using clear plastic tape at the top of the tag. Remember to seal the bag with tape also so it doesn't get opened and pieces won't get lost.

If it is a toy large enough to affix the tag directly to it, then a zip top bag isn't necessary.

Books, Software/Video Games, Games and Puzzles Books are welcome and must be in gently read to excellent condition, clean and no torn pages.  Books can be bundled together; however the tag should list each title.

Software and video games must be in working order.  Original cases are preferred.

Board games and puzzles must have all of their piecesUse plastic wrap to secure the pieces in place to avoid loss.

Play equipment Outdoor toys are welcome! They must be clean - Mr. Clean Magic Eraser® works wonders! - and they must not have water inside.

Furniture We welcome baby, children's and juvenile furniture only. Cribs, bassinets, rockers, gliders, toddler beds, any bedroom set that would be appropriate for a child, bookshelves, etc. We have the same strict standards for furniture as we do all other items. If necessary, please take the time to clean appropriately.

Miscellaneous Items Items like bottles, pacifiers, socks, onesies and bibs need to be placed in zip top bags with the tag attached to the bag. Again, don't forget to seal the bag!

Bedding Crib or bedding sets work best when placed in a clear zippered comforter bag. These can be purchased at most dollar stores. Do not seal the bag with tape, as people need to see what they're getting. Do put on your tag how many items are included in the set. Affix your tag to the outside of the plastic.

Car Seats Car seats may not be older than five years. If you bring in a car seat, please call the D.O.T. at 800-424-9393 to make sure it has not been recalled. Car Seats must be less than 5 years old and not been in an accident.

Baby Equipment Strollers, high chairs, swings, exer-saucers, walkers, activity gyms breast pumps and related items sell VERY WELL at these sales! Think of the space you're going to have back in your home after this sale!
